The Story of Christmas

Marc first performed at The Story of Christmas in 2004 and has been the event’s Artistic Director & CEO  since 2009. Founded in 1978, The Story of Christmas is Real Estate’s annual Christmas charity event, comprising a charity concert at St George’s Hanover Square followed by a champagne reception and charity auction. The event raises funds to finance capital projects benefitting homelessness, and both disadvantaged and disabled children in the UK. It features a spectacular programme of musicians, celebrated actors and television personalities. In December 2024 the event raised over £1 million for the first – a total that was matched in 2025. Marc organises the event each year, programming the music and celebrity performers; organising the charity auction, featuring around 100 lots, and the post-concert reception; managing the fundraising operation involving over 100 corporate sponsors; working with all the charity’s boards and committees; managing the Ambassadors Programme; arranging all aspects of press, recording, broadcasting and communications and working with the beneficiary charities the event is able to support. During Marc’s tenure The Story of Christmas has, so far, raised over £10 million.
