As well as being a busy performer, Marc is a passionate and dedicated teacher. He has been teaching Piano and Theory of Music privately in  central London for over twelve years. His current practise encompasses all age ranges – around half his students are adults and half are children. He teaches pianists at all stages of development, from beginners to those playing at professional / diploma level.

Marc has substantial experience in preparing students thoroughly for all ABRSM graded examinations and all four of the performing diplomas. He regularly prepares pianists for competitions, conservatoire auditions, recitals and concerto performances. He also enjoys working with both child and adult beginners – or adults who played in the past and are keen to take it up again – including those with less serious goals.

Marc tailors his approach to suit the differing objectives of individual students. He speaks French and Spanish fairly fluently, as well as a little German and Italian. Marc has plenty of experience of teaching both the piano and theory to those whose first language is not English.

Several of his students have continued to study at one of the major international conservatoires, such as the Royal College of Music, the Royal Northern College of Music and Guildhall. Marc has also helped many youngsters apply successfully for a place at a music school.
