Teaching

Marc has been teaching the piano and theory of music in central London since studying at the Royal College of Music. He is based in Little Venice, central London, where he has a magnificent, hand-made, concert grand piano. Marc is a passionate and dedicated teacher of motivated and talented students, with a half-to-half balance between adults and children. Over the past fifteen years, he has taught at all levels including complete beginners, those working through grades and diplomas, those wishing to return to playing in later life, to those keen to pursue a musical career. He has an exemplary track record in examination success – at all eight grades and the complete range of professional diplomas. He has extensive experience in nurturing the very talented, helping them prepare for performances, competitions and conservatoire auditions. Also, he enjoys helping those with less serious musical goals, who just love to play. Rather than taking a single-minded, inflexible approach to teaching, Marc likes to adapt to suit the aims of each particular student. Three times a year, he organises recitals for some of his students at St George’s Hanover Square to help them gain additional performing experience. Marc’s students have successfully secured places at music schools, such as the Purcell School, and conservatories including the Royal College of Music, Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Northern College of Music. Marc is always delighted to hear from prospective students.
